
The actor Anton Yelchin (recently seen in Star Trek and Charlie Bartlett) is in talks with the American film studio DreamWorks Pictures to play the main role in the remake of the horror comedy Fright Night. Craig Gillespie (who directed Mr. Woodcock and Lars and the Real Girl) will direct this new motion picutre.
Anton Yelchin’s character will be a young adult (whose name is Charley Brewster) who discovers that his neighbor is a vampire when he sees him carrying what looks like a coffin. Martin Noxon adapted the scenario for this remake.
The original film, writing and carried out by Tom Holland, was released on cinema screens by Columbia Pictures in 1985. The actors Amanda Bearse, Chris Sarandon, Roddy McDowall, William Ragsdale, Jonathan Stark and Stephen Geoffreys were starring this movie
The remake project will be produced by Michael De Luca (who is also working on the comedy drama The Social Network which is about the beginning of Facebook), Alison Rosenzweig, Michael Gaeta, Josh Bratman and Lloyd Ivan Miller.
Anton Yelchin could be seen soon in The Beaver, a film carried out by Jodie Foster which stars the very well-known Mel Gibson.

The films in the Fast and the Furious series have gotten progressively dumber since the harmlessly energetic 2001 original, and the latest, reductively called Fast & Furious, takes it a step lower. Not only is the story silly, but there’s not even much car-racing in it — and why would anyone want to watch this movie if it doesn’t have a lot of car-racing in it?
